Adapted

Well,we just finished hosting our second exhibition: Adapted. I'd like to thank the artists and volunteers for making this exhibit possible. The room looked great (see below), and the artwork was amazing (also see below). Your hard work has set a very high standard for future exhibits.
I'm looking forward to working with you all again!

Here are a few photos to hold you over until our virtual tour is complete:

Meet Larry Towell

I discovered Larry Towell a couple of months ago when I stumbled across an article about him in the Globe and Mail. His photos have a staying power the likes I've never experienced before. Hope you enjoy them!

"When I photograph, I tend to photograph the things that I believe in. Every photographer has a story of some sort that they present. I've been working on a series of projects on landlessness. I'm interested in what makes people into who they are, how land makes people into who they are, how they gain their identities from the land they live on, from the place they call home, and what happens to people when they lose their land." -- Larry Towell

Erwin Olaf

A very interesting article on a fine art/advertising photographer. I thought of the CAI in his mention of of the world and Dreams & Nightmares. You can read his full interview here: http://www.thefstopmag.com/?p=185 The interview is a very interesting read, even if your not into the whole photography thing.
